St Ives Chambers ranked Band 1 in Chambers & Partners 2020

St Ives Chambers is delighted to announce that 22 members have been recommended as leaders in their respective fields in Chambers & Partners Guide to the UK Bar 2020 edition.

Both silks and juniors from the Family Group were included within the rankings. Jeremy Weston QC and Elizabeth Isaacs QC were both ranked as Band 1 silks. Juniors ranked this year were: Jayne Mullen, Nicholas Starks, Gregory Rogers, Tracy Lakin, Nina Bache, Andrew Day, Matthew Maynard, James Picken, Charmian Jackson, Mark Cooper and Matthew Fiddy.

Of the Family Group, which was ranked as Band 1, Chambers & Partners states “St Ives Chambers draws praise for its highly regarded team of family law barristers covering the full range of public and private law cases.” “They also impress with their handling of matrimonial finance mandates, offering experience in cases involving a broad range of assets such as estates and trusts.”

From the Housing Group, also ranked as Band 1, Michelle Caney, David Nuttall, Tom Lawal, Anya Newman, Michael Singleton and Jane Talbot have all been recommended. Michelle Caney and David Nuttall who have also been recommended for Real Estate Litigation. The Guide states: “The housing barristers at St Ives are specialists in their field. Their knowledge is of impressive quality and the speed of response is exceptional. They understand the pressures faced by providers of social housing and are solution-oriented.”

The Crime Group, which is ranked as Band 3, is described in the Guide as “highly respected advocates,” adding that “they are well known in the market for their meticulous and thorough preparation.” Members of the team who continue to be ranked and recommended are David Jackson, Peter Cooper and Kevin Saunders.
