Chambers and Partners 2019 – rankings announced

St Ives Chambers are delighted as members continue to be recommended in Chambers & Partners with the detailed recommendations and rankings issued today.

Members from the Family/Matrimonial group included in the 2019 edition are Jeremy Weston QC, Elizabeth Isaacs QC, Jayne Mullen, Nicholas Starks, Gregory Rogers, Tracy Lakin, Nina Bache, Andrew Day, Matthew Maynard, James Picken, Charmian Jackson and Mark Cooper.

Of the Family and Matrimonial Group (ranked Band 1), Chambers & Partners concluded “…they also undertake a significant amount of private and public children law work, dealing with a wide variety of allegations including sexual abuse, non-accidental injury and fabricated illness. St Ives is “an excellent chambers, with a deserved reputation for excellence in family law.”

From the Housing group, which has ranked Band 1, Michael Singleton, Michelle Caney, Anya Newman, Tom Lawal, David Nuttall and Jane Talbot have all been recommended.  Chambers & Partners concluded “Prominent social housing group comprising a number of experienced practitioners. The set is well known for its work advising and representing housing associations with regard to possession proceedings. It also handles a variety of other matters including nuisance claims, homelessness cases and gang injunctions. ‘”I am spoilt for choice because all of the barristers at St Ives provide such an excellent service,” comments one client.’  Michelle Caney has been recommended twice for her work in Housing and Real Estate Litigation.

The Crime group members who continue to be ranked and recommended are David Jackson, Peter Cooper and Kevin Saunders.  Chambers & Partners comments include “….Fields a number of experienced practitioners who act for both the prosecution and defence.
