Four members of St Ives Chambers appear in landmark decision involving Herefordshire Council

Four members of the St Ives Chambers Family Team have appeared in the recently published decision of The Honourable Mr Justice Keehan in Re: YY (Children: Conduct of the Local Authority) [2021] EWHC 749 (Fam).

The case has received significant media attention owing to the findings that were made against the local authority due to their failure to appropriately manage the care plans for a group of siblings in foster care.

The head of the chambers Children Team, Elizabeth Isaacs QC led Matthew Maynard on behalf of two of the children. Jane Crowley QC led Mark Cooper on behalf of the third child, through the children’s guardian.
