Family Law Clerking Team of the Year – vote for us here

We are delighted that St Ives has been shortlisted for the ‘Family Law Chambers of the Year – Regional’ award and the ‘Clerking Team of the Year’ award at the Family Law Awards 2018.

In keeping with tradition, the Clerking Team of the Year award is voted for by the legal community. Please see below details about our family clerking team and we hope that you will vote for them.

Family Childcare Team

Sarah Robinson

Sarah Robinson is the Practice Manager for the Family childcare team.  She joined St Ives in 1999 and is responsible for the management of our large Family Children Team and the Court of Protection Team alongside the Assistant Practice Managers Nick Burdon, Asma Akhtar and David Walters.

Legal 500 2017 described Sarah as “one of the best clerks in the West Midlands.” A client recently said “Sarah Robinson is a very effective communicator”.

 Nick Burdon

As Assistant Practice Manager, he is involved in all aspects of the family team, including diary management, liaising with courts and billing.

A client recently said “Asma and Nick, in particular, are both friendly and professional.”

Asma Akhtar

Asma is Assistant Practice Manager for the Family Team.

A client recently said “Asma and David in particular are extremely helpful.”

David Walters

David is the Assistant Practice Manager for Private Law and Court of Protection.

David was recently shortlisted for the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce Future Face of Legal Award 2018.

Scott Goodison

Scott is one of the newest members of the team having joined us from completing a history degree at Birmingham University. He is part of the Family team providing admin support.

Family Finance Team

 Ross Hands

Ross is the Practice Manager for the Family Finance group and has been described by the Legal 500 as ‘a very effective clerk, who adopts a down-to-earth, no-nonsense approach’.

In 2017, Legal 500 described Ross as ‘friendly and approachable’ and ‘stands out for his client care.’

Hannah Yates

Hannah is the Assistant Practice Manager for Family Finance. Hannah has excellent experience in the legal industry having practised as a solicitor in both family and civil matters.

Catherine Merry

Catherine is Assistant Practice Manager for Family Finance.
