Overview

Adam Clay-Croome joined St Ives Chambers in 2022 from the Crown Prosecution Service. Prior to that, he held several roles at NASUWT – The Teachers’ Union, where he advised on a wide range of employment matters and represented teachers in disciplinary proceedings.

An approachable and friendly barrister, Adam is adept at handling vulnerable clients and witnesses. Across all areas of his practice, he is consistently well prepared and puts the client’s case robustly, both in writing and in court.

Adam provides clear, sensible advice to clients. In private family and civil matters in particular, he helps to progress cases by suggesting pragmatic and sometimes creative solutions.

In criminal law, Adam prosecutes and defends. His jury advocacy skills surpass his year of call.

Adam takes instructions across all of Chambers’ core practice areas: family, civil and crime.
