Timothy is an experienced advocate who has a strong reputation built upon representing clients in complex family law work.  He frequently appears in exceptionally serious public law cases and is regularly led by senior counsel in the Family Division.

Timothy is a knowledgeable advocate who has broad experience in representing local authorities, family members, children and young persons in challenging a family law work.  Timothy’s cases often feature multi-agency involvement by the police/CPS/NHS Trusts.  Timothy has also acted as lead counsel in an inquiry for a public authority covering care work and employment law.

Timothy has an established reputation for detailed preparation and forensic case analysis. He has a relaxed, reassuring style that enables him to out clients at ease.

Public law

Timothy has a wealth of experience in acting in all types of public family law work.  He has a particular interest in cases involving:

  • Fabricated/Induced illness (FII)/poisoning
  • Brussels II
  • Non-accidental injury
  • Serious sexual harm
  • Human rights/jurisdictional issues
  • The giving of evidence of vulnerable individuals

Private law

Timothy acts for parents, children and extended family members in all aspects of private law proceedings, including:-

  • Child arrangement disputes (including residence and contact)
  • Human rights/jurisdiction issues

Timothy is an experienced advocate who has a strong reputation built upon effective preparation and a forensic court style.  His practice covers both business and residential tenancies in the public and private sector.

Timothy deals with all aspects of property law and has experience prosecuting and defending in possession claims, anti-social behaviour cases, homelessness applications and appeals and disrepair litigation.

Timothy is an active participant in Chambers and Circuit life and often speaks at seminars and conferences on all aspects of housing and property law.
