All three St Ives pupils offered tenancy

Many congratulations to our three pupils, Thomas Duggan, Zara Mahmood and Lachlan Stewart, who have all accepted offers of tenancy following successful completion of their pupillages.

Thomas has joined Chambers immediately from Bar school. Before commencing his pupillage he was awarded the Anglo-American Scholarship from Middle Temple. He has been supervised during his pupillage by Timothy Bowe and Rebecca Wade.

Prior to pupillage, Zara assisted both prosecution and defence counsel in several multi-handed and complex criminal trials. She has been supervised during pupillage by Rebecca Wade and Matthew Maynard.

Lachlan Stewart completed his BPTC at the University of Law Birmingham and undertook his undergrade degree at the University of Bristol. He has been supervised in pupillage by Tracy Lakin and Justin Jamola.

Head of Chambers, Jeremy Weston QC, said “Chambers is delighted to offer tenancy to Thomas, Zara and Lachlan. Each has demonstrated significant qualities during their pupillages. They have worked incredibly hard. Not only that, the national public health crisis has presented us all, not least pupils, with significant challenges. They have risen to and exceeded our expectations and we are delighted that they are joining us as tenants. They make very welcome and valuable members of our team.”

All members and staff at St Ives wish them every success with their future careers.
