Family Finance Seminar Series: “Lying around the kitchen – Imerman nine years on” and “Neither WAGs nor Riches – Schedule 1 Applications”

St Ives Chambers invites you to attend the first in 2019’s series of Family Finance Seminars.  The seminar will take place on Thursday 2nd May 2019 in Chambers, starting at 6:00pm, with welcome drinks, refreshments and networking beforehand from 5:30pm.  The evening will conclude by 7:30pm.

The Family Finance team begin the series of seminars with:

“Lying around the kitchen” – Imerman nine years on.  A review of how Imerman has been applied over the years and the practical consequences of ‘self-help’, presented by Nicholas Allen QC.

“Neither WAGs nor Riches” – Schedule 1 Applications.  An examination of the current law regarding Schedule 1 to the Children Act 1989, including practical advice in respect of making and defending such applications in non-‘big money’ cases, presented by James Picken.

The seminar is aimed at all of those who undertake financial proceedings following relationship breakdown, whether as a specialist family finance practitioner, or as part of a mixed caseload.
