Zara has a varied and busy practice as a public family practitioner.
Zara regularly appears on behalf of local authorities, parents and children (through their guardians) at all stages of hearings including interim hearings, case management hearings, issues resolution hearings and final hearings. Her experience includes cases involving chronic neglect, domestic abuse, drug and alcohol misuse as well as parents with limited cognitive functioning.
Zara has also gained significant experience in dealing with the following matters:
- Contested removal applications
- Part 25 applications
- Applications to discharge care orders
- Contested adoption orders
- Zara is a determined and confident advocate who is commended for her meticulous attention to detail and analytical approach. She is well known for her approachable manner and her ability to build a positive rapport with both solicitors and clients.
Zara accepts instructions in all public law children matters and is actively seeking to grow her practice in this area, commensurate to her year of call.
