Overview
Katharine accepts instructions in private and public child law, in addition to domestic abuse injunctions.
Katharine has experience in all areas of private child law, including matters involving domestic abuse allegations, substance misuse, neglect and parental alienation.
She has represented local authorities, parents and children in all stages of care proceedings, including multi-day final hearings and fact finding hearings.
She is well versed in domestic abuse injunctions, both non-molestation orders and occupation orders.
Throughout all of her practice areas, she has frequently worked with vulnerable clients, and those with learning difficulties or mental health difficulties.
She studied Law at the University of Nottingham and graduated with First Class Honours. She went on to complete her BPC at the University of Law Birmingham where she was an Advocacy Scholar and was awarded distinction for a Pro Bono LLM in which she volunteered at a legal clinic advising clients referred by Women’s Aid on domestic abuse injunctions and Children Act applications.
