Regulatory

James has appeared in the Magistrates’ Court dealing with regulatory matters ranging from environmental prosecutions, taxi licensing appeals and security licensing appeals.

James is keen to expand his regulatory practice and accepts instructions commensurate with his year of call.

Before completing his pupillage and joining Chambers, James volunteered at Avon and Bristol Law Centre in the Housing Law Team, later working as a paralegal in the Community Care Team.

In 2013 James spent the late summer as an Intern at the Bar Pro Bono Unit in London. James has also undertaken cases for the Free Representation Unit in Employment Law and Social Security. He spent the summer in 2014 working as an Intern with a commercial law immigration team at a firm in London.
