Criminal

Eleanor undertook a criminal first-six pupillage under the guidance of Rebecca Wade. She was required to draft advices, cross-examinations and case summaries in a wide range of cases.

In her second-six, Eleanor has prosecuted and defended in Proceeds of Crime Act proceedings in the Crown Court, prosecuted private prosecutions and defended in the Magistrates’ Court, and represented defendants in appeals against conviction in the Crown Court.

Eleanor’s background as an investigator ensures that she has detailed knowledge of investigatory procedures such as RIPA, CPIA and PACE which enables her to quickly identify any procedural failings when prosecuting or defending.
