Jason Pegg is an experienced and well regarded criminal barrister with wide-ranging experience in all types of criminal work for both defence and prosecution.

Jason has extensive experience prosecuting serious and often complex criminal trials before the Crown Court and representing the Crown at the Court of Appeal.

Jason has a flourishing defence practice having established a following of solicitors who recognise his ability to readily identify the real issues in a case and deal with sensitive issues effectively. Jason gains the trust and respect of others through pragmatism, robust representation, enthusiasm and a desire to consistently produce work of a high professional standard.

In addition to his expertise in criminal law he has a thorough practical knowledge of:

  • Coronial law
  • Military law
  • The laws of armed conflict

Jason accepts instructions prosecuting and defending in regulatory criminal proceedings. He has regularly acted in relation to Health & Safety Executive and Trading Standards cases and is able to represent clients at professional disciplinary tribunals.

In addition, he has appeared on behalf of corporate entities, including Health Trusts, at inquests.
