Practice Details :
Mr Cheetham has a general common law practice, with a particular emphasis on ancillary relief and family work. Gareth has a particular interest in matrimonial finance and ancillary relief, and quasi- matrimonial trusts of land cases.

Gareth is highly numerate and holds a degree in mathematics and a DPhil in theoretical physics. He worked as a derivatives trader for a number of years and therefore has an excellent knowledge of financial instruments and how to value them. Having been involved in the negotiation of large real asset acquisitions involving for instance power stations and natural gas storage, Gareth's experience means he is able to understand the valuation of assets and is comfortable and able to negotiate effectively in a financial setting.

His financial know-how and negotiation skills coupled with an interest in property law would make him an effective advocate in ancillary relief matters.

Gareth also undertakes both private and public Children Act work.
