Practice Details :
Miss Chavasse is a senior family and matrimonial law specialist with considerable High Court and Court of Appeal experience. Ann is instructed regularly in ancillary relief proceedings, property disputes involving unmarried couples and claims for children under Schedule 1 of the Children Act.

An expert in both public and private childcare work, she represents parents, children (through their guardian), and local authorities in complex cases of child abuse and neglect. As a result she is confident in cases involving expert medical evidence. In private law Children Act work, her experience includes abuse allegations, parent and children with psychiatric and psychological problems and intractable contact matters.

Ann believes in barrister and solicitor adopting a team approach to serving the needs of the client and welcomes the opportunity to discuss cases with professional clients throughout proceedings from an early stage. Believing client care skills to be a vital part of successful representation in family work, she strives to establish an early rapport with clients.

Ann lectures regularly to solicitors and other professionals on issues of family law and care.
