The members of the St. Ive’s Chambers Commercial & Chancery Group are specialist advocates who offer a broad spectrum of expertise capable of obtaining solutions to a wide range of commercial and civil problems.  Most members can accept direct access instructions.
 
Commercial matters include all contractual cases, (including building and construction disputes) finance, credit and mortgages, partnerships and company law.  Counsel undertake professional negligence cases (specifically surveyors, accountants and lawyers) and matters of insurance. Sale of goods and carriage of goods are widely covered.  The Group also undertakes company and insolvency law and defamation work..
 
Chancery matters include probate and wills, inheritance act claims and all trusts actions.  Land matters are a particular specialism with boundary disputes, easements and averse possession claims a particular strength.
 
Included within the Commercial & Chancery Group is the specialist Employment team, who advise and attend on all employment matters in the Employment Tribunal, County and High Court, and Employment Appeal Tribunal. Expertise includes unfair and wrongful dismissals, redundancy, transfer of undertakings, race, sex and disability discrimination and restrictive covenants.
