The
members of the Ancillary Relief Law Group at St. Ive's Chambers
are aware of the unique problems faced by parties to financial provision
cases, and the role that mishandled litigation can have in further
complicating matters and generating unnecessary costs.
We have extensive experience of all types of ancillary relief cases
from "big money cases" to more modest asset cases. We
are experienced in cases involving foreign elements, pensions and
dissipation of assets, financial provision for children and all
aspects of financial provision following the breakdown of a marriage.
Members of the group can provide:
A friendly and approachable manner towards both professional
and lay clients
A positive, constructive approach to cases
A determined commitment to achieving the best possible results
We are committed to provide our professional and lay clients with
the urgent meeting of court deadlines and to meeting dates for the
return of paperwork, where these have been agreed. Chambers can
provide documents in a variety of applications, chronologies, schedules,
calculations and summaries in order to present cases effectively.
The range of age and experience within out team ensures that we
are able to match our professional clients to the most suitable
barrister. Several members of the team are listed as Leading Juniors
in the Chambers & Partners Directory. Several members of the
group also sit as Deputy High Court Judges, Recorders and Deputy
District Judges.
We also have extensive experience of cases involving:
Financial provision for the children of unmarried couples
Property disputes between cohabitants
Inheritance disputes
St. Ives Chambers are striving towards the Legal Services Commission
provisional contract.
We regularly arrange seminars in Birmingham and surrounding areas
on a range of topics and have CPD accreditation. We are happy to
jointly organise such events with instructing solicitors.
