Peter Andrews has a specialist and well known practice dealing with claims for catastrophic personal injuries that result from clinical negligence, from accidents in the workplace and on the roads and from sporting mischance. He is regularly featured in the leading silks section of Chambers & Partners: A Guide to the Legal Profession and in the Legal 500.

He enjoys a reputation for successfully combining sound legal expertise, a detailed and thorough approach to the case in hand and the ability to facilitate sympathetic client care.

His work is principally concentrated on litigation that concerns claims arising from major spinal cord injury, severe brain damage and birth and neo-natal trauma.

He has written one of the leading text books, Catastrophic Injuries – A Practical Guide to Compensation published by Sweet & Maxwell. He is also a contributor to the Personal Injury Handbook (claims on behalf of the mentally incapable claimant) and Kemp & Kemp, The Quantum of Damages (structured settlements). His recently reported cases include: Smoldon v. Nolan (1997) PIQR P133 (catastrophic spinal injury – rugby player’s successful negligence action against the match referee).
