Practise Details :
Andrew Day specialises principally in ancillary relief matters. He has extensive experience of dealing with financial disputes between married and unmarried couples, under the Matrimonial Causes Act 1973 and the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996, including cases of significant legal or factual complexity and high net worth. He is recognised in the 2009 edition of the Legal 500, as a practitioner who is “building up his more complex ancillary relief cases”.
He also undertakes public and private law childcare work on behalf of Local Authorities, parents and Children’s Guardians.
He accepts instructions to prosecute and defend in the Crown Court.
Given his interests in both family and criminal law, he is instructed with ever increasing frequency in family cases linked to criminal proceedings and vice versa; work recently undertaken has included representation of the police, defendants and members of their families in cases concerning murder, manslaughter, international drug trafficking and terrorism.
